In January of 2010, the Nike 255 store on Elizabeth street invited The Bear Cave to create a line of graphics for their custom apparel lab. The task was to translate the history of basketball in New York City while exploring the capabilities of the 255 customization lab. Focusing on the themes ‘Fortress of Solitude’ and ‘The Garden’, we created a series of graphic icons and custom felt patches that could be applied to various sportswear by stitch machines, flock transfer, and silkscreening.
The Bear Cave was responsible for the Art Direction and Design.
